The FAST-LISA project, funded by the EU Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Program – CERV, aims to combat the escalating prevalence of online hate speech in Europe. Through collaboration with various stakeholders, including young people, academics, experts, and NGOs, the project focuses on developing a standardized protocol for local authorities to effectively address hate speech. At the heart of the project is the FAST LISA dashboard, a specialized tool integrating legal, linguistic, and sociological analysis to detect and visualize harmful content online. The project culminates in a final event in Brussels, showcasing the dashboard's capabilities and sharing best practices for hate speech identification and policy advancement. Ultimately, the dashboard serves as a valuable resource for policymakers and changemakers, facilitating community-level initiatives and reforms in local regulations regarding hate speech intervention. The project emphasizes GDPR compliance and anonymous participation. In the context of evolving migration patterns in Europe, the question of granting voting rights to non-EU citizens arises, presenting both opportunities for political inclusion and challenges in administrative processes and societal integration.
